How to Shutdown Your PC Automatically In Window's
In this tutorial, I’ll show you how to schedule a task in Windows 7 to automatically shutdown your PC at midnight. When the task is configured correctly, both machines will automatically shutdown at the time you specified.
That’s all. In the next post I’ll show you how to do the same in Ubuntu.
Getting started:
To get started, go to ‘Start –> All Programs –> Accessories –> System Tools –> Task Schedule’.
Next, select ‘Action –> Create Basic Task…’
Then type the task name and click ‘Next’
Next, select how often you want to task to run and click ‘Next’
Then specify the time to run the task and click ‘Next’
Next choose ‘Start a program’
Then type Shutdown program path shown below: Also type /s in the arguments field.
C:\Windows\System32\shutdown.exe
Finally, click ‘Finish’
At midnight, your computer will automatically shutdown. If someone is logged-on, he/she is given one minute to save all that is open before the computer shuts down.
That’s all. In the next post I’ll show you how to do the same in Ubuntu.
